"Dealing with Post Partum Depression made it challenging at times to connect to my sweet newborn baby. I would hold her and try to feel all the feelings but only sadness, or worse, nothing would come. I felt like a failure as a mom and human being.
Then Esther came like a blessing and took such amazing pictures. This one in particular. I loved it instantly but didn't know why.
I came to realize that even though I couldn't always connect to the feelings of motherhood. The feelings were always there. I love my daughter and always have. Even if I couldnt always feel it. I showed it in different ways. And I know she felt it."
